The air conditioner has a brother who causes just as much mental and physical damage with that same agonizing noise . He looks identical , only the vents are facing a different direction . This sibling is on the side of the classroom , not the middle , yet it still causes tremendous trauma . Finally , another brother , the youngest of the three , the quiet and shy one , resides just above the whiteboard . This one is just a vent ; it has not grown up yet to its full size . It makes no noise and is in the wall , not the ceiling .
The older brothers don ’ t allow the youngest one up there with them , saying he ’ s not cool enough . He never leaves the classroom , and I feel bad for him , dealing with his mean older brothers . But deep down , he knows that he is better off on the wall . He knows the pain his brothers cause because he always witnesses it . One day he spoke to me about a plan to take down his brothers , who bring out the worst in people . This plan he spoke of was selfless . He said that he will fall off the wall , making it necessary for someone to come and fix him . He will be injured , but when someone comes to save him , he will tell them about his brothers , and that they need to be silenced . His plan will be happening soon , but he won ’ t tell me when . All I know is the grief , headaches , and sleepless nights cannot go on . The AC units must be quieted so their beauty can shine through .
