The Story of a Rock Original Poem

In the meadow , soft and still , Sits a rock upon the hill
Splashed by the wind and rain , Yet it still remains .
Beautiful in its silent grace , It holds a story that cannot be erased .
It skipped along the water glistening , In the warm , beloved spring ,
Was kicked along the grass , Just to fall in some glass .
Landing in a pit , In the shadows it sits ,
Lying peacefully in a clump , Just to be devastated by a large thump .
After all that one rock has been through , It only ends up in someone ’ s shoe .
