gently explained to Jane about the hen and the process of laying an egg . Reflecting upon that moment , Jane told us that her mother was rarely upset with her when she explored as a child . She said it was the foundation of her future work ; instead of destroying or reducing Jane ’ s imagination , her mother instead gently encouraged her and kept her curiosity alive . Jane said that she would not be what she is today had it not been for her mother . She also explained how it was crucial for children to not be discouraged during their childhoods because it would prevent them from pursuing or exploring their imaginations . There were many other stories that Jane shared with us , and each left an impression and marked me in some way .
After the main ceremony , I was lucky enough to be able to get some time alone with Jane . Those moments were incredible for me . She first asked me my name , and then we chatted for a little while . I had ten questions for her , but I was told to ask only two so that Jane could rest her voice . Our conversation may have covered only two of my ten questions , but it was enough for me . Then she pulled me into a hug . I felt like I had her blessing . I walked away with many lessons learned , but the most important was how to pursue your imagination and curiosity and how to never be afraid to ask questions . After my time with her , I knew that I would have a different , improved outlook on life .
When I returned to school , I was still thinking about Jane and the tender personal stories I had heard her recount . I still am fascinated with her life story and her work . Since my meeting with her , I have tried to apply the lessons and values she taught me . In the different subjects I study , I try to pursue curiosity , and I try to ask more meaningful questions and let my imagination wander . I enjoy thinking about different business ideas and have
