Walking On Mars Science Fiction Story
“ I ’ ve told you a thousand times , I don ’ t know .” “ When do you think we ’ ll get there ?” I looked at my best friend , Benjamin , in disbelief . He had been asking the same question over and over again for the past two months while we had been stuck in the same room on a spaceship . There were four rooms on the ship . One was for me and Ben , one was for his family , and one was for my family . We also had a bathroom and the cockpit that the captain worked and slept in .
When people describe being in a spaceship on TV , they don ’ t tell you how boring it is . It ’ s like flying in a plane , but instead of seeing beautiful clouds and fields of grass below you , you just see the black , endless void of space . Oh , and did I mention that instead of the flight lasting a few hours , it lasts two and a half months ? As I thought about planes , I remembered that I would probably never walk on Earth again . I would never get to see the green , lush forests on my former home planet . Since the beginning of World War IV in 2078 , we all knew that we would eventually have to evacuate the planet . We just didn ’ t think it would happen this soon .
