DAY 12 • Cres • Griffon Vulture Rescue Center Dock on the island of Cres to explore this charming destination with a local guide. Afterwards, we’ ll make our way to the village of Beli, and visit the Griffon Vulture Rescue Center for an in-depth lesson and look at these endangered and remarkable predators. DAY 13 • Rijeka • Istrian cooking class Our ship drops anchor in the principal seaport of Croatia, Rijeka. We’ ll take a walking tour of the city center with a local guide, and explore the central market of Rijeka. Later, gather together with your fellow travelers for a hands-on Istrian cooking class. DAY 14 • Rijeka • Optional tour to the hilltop towns of Istria You have a full day free to make your own discoveries in Rijeka. Or, you can choose to take an optional tour to the scenic, hilltop towns of Istria and the Motovun Forest. Meals: B, L, D | M / V Artemis
DAY 15 • Disembark ship • Explore Karlovac • Zagreb Disembark your ship and travel to the city of Zagreb. Along the way, stop in the city of Karlovac and visit the open-air Museum of
the Homeland War and the old historic city center, built in 1579. Meals: B, L | Sheraton Zagreb Hotel or similar
DAY 16 • Zagreb Enjoy a guided tour of Croatia’ s capital with a stroll through the Lower Town. Then, take the funicular to the Upper Town to visit several of the city’ s medieval landmarks, ending in Zagreb’ s most colorful market. In the afternoon, enjoy free time to explore independently. Meals: B, D | Sheraton Zagreb Hotel or similar
DAY 17 • Return to U. S. Transfer to the airport for your flight home. Or, join our post-trip extension to Slovenia & Austria: Lake Bled to Salzburg.
