DAY 1 • Depart U. S. Depart today on your flight to Athens, Greece.
DAY 2 • Athens, Greece Arrive in Athens and transfer to your hotel, where you’ ll meet your Trip Experience Leader and fellow travelers— including those who are arriving from the conclusion of their Crete: Isle of Myth & Beauty pre-trip extension.

DAY 3 • Athens Discover Athens, starting with a visit to Plaka, the city’ s oldest neighborhood, and Monastiraki square, a bustling shopping district. Tonight, enjoy an included Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 4 • The Acropolis Explore Athens’ ancient Acropolis this morning. Its remnants— including the Parthenon— provide glimpses into Greece’ s Golden Age. The remainder of the day will be yours to explore on your own.

DAY 5 • Delphi • Embark ship Visit Delphi, including the Temple of Apollo and the Delphi Archaeological Museum, whose holdings include a larger-than-life bronze charioteer. Then continue to Patras, where we’ ll embark our small ship. Meals: B, D | M / V Arethusa
DAY 6 • Honey farm visit • Itea This morning, we’ ll visit a local honey farm for a firsthand look at how traditional Greek honey is made, as well as to learn how the special qualities of the land make this particular variety of honey so delectable. Then, we’ ll return to Itea, where our small ship awaits to take us to Katakolo. Meals: B, L, D | M / V Arethusa
DAY 7 • Katakolo • Olympia • Olive oil farm From our port in Katakolo, we drive for a tour of Olympia— birthplace of the Olympian Games, forerunner of our modern Olympic Games. Then visit the city’ s Archaeological Museum. This afternoon, enjoy lunch at a local olive oil farm. Meals: B, L, D | M / V Arethusa
DAY 8 • Zakynthos • Local folk music performance Explore Zakynthos on a tour this morning, taking in the Venetian-style architecture of this Greek island town. Later, a group of kantades( musicians) will serenade us with traditional Zakynthian songs. Meals: B, L, D | M / V Arethusa
DAY 9 • Preveza • A Day in the Life of Kleisoura village Today we will spend A Day in the Life of Kleisoura village. With the local community leader as our guide, we’ ll help prepare local dishes including handmade pies and homemade cheese, and tour the village, meeting its people and viewing its medieval castle. We’ ll share lunch at the community center before returning to our ship in Preveza.
