Itinerary
DAY 1 • Depart U. S. Depart today on your overnight flight to Buenos Aires, Argentina.
DAY 2 • Buenos Aires, Argentina An O. A. T. representative will greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel, where you’ ll join travelers who took the Bariloche’ s Patagonian Andes & Lakes pre-trip extension. Meals: D | Loi Suites Recoleta or similar
DAY 3 • Buenos Aires Embark on a half-day tour of Buenos Aires, featuring the Avenida 9 de Julio, Plaza de Mayo, and La Boca district. Later, we’ ll gather for a Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant. Meals: B | Loi Suites Recoleta or similar
DAY 4 • Ushuaia • Embark ship Fly to Ushuaia, known as the“ City at the End of the World.” A guided tour takes you from Coastal Avenue, with its views of the Beagle Channel, to Main Street, brimming with frontier spirit. Meals: B, D | M / V World Navigator
DAY 5 • Drake Passage The Drake Passage is the most direct route to Antarctica, as well as the most adventurous. If conditions are rough, you may need to stay in your cabin during your crossing. Meals: B, L, D | M / V World Navigator
DAY 6 • Drake Passage As your adventure on the Drake continues, your ship may cross the Antarctic Convergence today, where cold polar waters sink beneath warm temperate waters. Meals: B, L, D | M / V World Navigator
DAY 7 • South Shetland Islands Today your ship nears the South Shetland Islands, the most readily accessible part of the White Continent. If conditions allow, it may be your first chance to go ashore. Meals: B, L, D | M / V World Navigator
DAY 8 • Antarctic Peninsula Region If sea conditions allow, you might board Zodiacs bound for a nearby island. As you hike along the black shore, you may encounter chinstrap penguins. Meals: B, L, D | M / V World Navigator

DAY 10 • Antarctic Circle crossing As you press ever southward toward the Antarctic Circle, you’ ll notice the landscape beginning to shift: icebergs are larger, the continent’ s shores are more rugged, and the glittering sun shines through midnight. Meals: B, L, D | M / V World Navigator
DAY 11 • Antarctic Circle crossing Your Antarctic expedition is subject to the whims of pack ice and sustained winds— which is why so few travelers cross the Antarctic Circle. If it is safe, you’ ll experience a true travel milestone.
