DAY 4 • Discover the Acropolis Explore Athens ’ ancient Acropolis this morning . Its remnants — including the Parthenon — provide glimpses into Greece ’ s Golden Age .

DAY 5 • Visit honey farm • Embark ship We ’ ll drive to Patras this morning , stopping en route to visit a local honey farm for a firsthand look at how traditional Greek honey is made , and learn about the special qualities of the land that make this particular
variety of honey so delectable . Arriving in Patras , we ’ ll board our small ship .

DAY 6 • Itea • Delphi Visit Delphi , including the Temple of Apollo and the Delphi Archaeological Museum , whose holdings include a larger-than-life bronze charioteer . Then enjoy time for independent discoveries this afternoon in nearby Arachova before returning to the ship in Itea .

DAY 7 • Katakolo • Olympia • Olive oil farm From our port in Katakolo , we drive for a tour of Olympia — birthplace of the Olympian Games , forerunner of our modern Olympic Games . Then visit the city ’ s Archaeological Museum . This afternoon , enjoy lunch at a local olive oil farm .

DAY 8 • Explore Zakynthos • Local folk music performance
Explore Zakynthos on a tour this morning , taking in the Venetian-style architecture of this Greek island town . This evening , a group of kantades ( musicians ) will serenade us with traditional Zakynthian songs .

DAY 9 • Preveza • A Day in the Life of Kleisoura village
Today we will spend A Day in the Life of a Kleisoura village . With the local community leader as our guide , we ’ ll help prepare local dishes including handmade
pies and homemade cheese , and tour the village , meeting its people and viewing its old medieval castle . We ’ ll share lunch at the community center before returning to our ship in Preveza .
