DAY 6 • Symi While docked in the heart of Symi , enjoy a guided walking tour and scenic drive of the village of Yialos . Our walk takes us past the 14th-century Castle of the Knights of St . John , erected over an ancient temple to Athena . We ’ ll also visit a sponge maker workshop followed by free time in Symi .

DAY 7 • Rhodes Set off on a walking tour of Rhodes ’ Old Town , which has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO . Along the way , learn about the island ’ s history and witness palaces belonging to the mysterious Knights of Malta .

DAY 8 • At sea We ’ ll spend the day at leisure onboard our ship . Perhaps you ’ ll relax on the Sun Deck , reveling in the warmth of the Mediterranean and falling under the spell that lured so many legendary Greek heroes from their home ports .

DAY 9 • Larnaca • Paphos , Cyprus We ’ ll go ashore in Larnaca for a brief stop at Aphrodite ’ s rock before making our way to Paphos , a UNESCO World Heritage Site in southwestern Cyprus . A walking tour will reveal how architecture of Classical , Hellenistic , and Roman periods exist side by side with modern shops and cafes . After lunch onboard , our ship sets a course for Haifa , Israel . This evening , enjoy our Captain ’ s Farewell Dinner .

DAY 10 • Haifa , Israel • Disembark ship • Caesarea • Home-Hosted Lunch • Jerusalem After disembarking in Haifa , we ’ ll travel overland to Caesarea for a walking tour to see remnants of Herod ’ s era and the later Crusades , from Roman ruins to the remains of the walled Crusader ’ s city . Then , we ’ ll split into smaller groups to meet with local families in Haifa for a Home-Hosted Lunch before reaching our final destination , Jerusalem .

DAY 11 • Jerusalem Old City • Controversial Topic : Humanity before politics A walking tour of Jerusalem ’ s Old City begins near the Western Wall in the Jewish Quarter . We ’ ll also visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre , and follow the Via Dolorosa , which some believe is the path Christ walked to his crucifixion . Later , we visit Mount Zion and the Mount of Olives , home of the Garden of Gethsemane . Then , we ’ ll meet an Israeli humanitarian to learn about the Controversial Topic of encouraging peace and reconciliation between Israeli and Palestinian people through a “ Road to Recovery ” program .
