DAY 9 • Optional Canopy & Hanging Bridges tour • Overland to Antigua You can choose to join an optional wildlife-viewing walk along the hanging bridges of the Atitlán Nature Reserve , followed by a thrilling zip-line ride . Later , we ’ ll regroup and set off overland to Antigua .

DAY 10 • Antigua Embark on a walking tour of Antigua , a UNESCO World Heritage Site . Our tour begins with sweeping views from Cerro de la Cruz , or Hill of the Cross , located just north of the city . We ’ ll visit the restored Convent of Santo Domingo and its museum .

DAY 11 • Antigua • Optional Pacaya Volcano tour • Local interaction This morning , you have the freedom to explore Antigua on your own or join us for our optional Pacaya Volcano tour to climb Guatemala ’ s most active volcano . After making the climb up to Cerro Chino , we will witness impressive views
of three other volcanoes and recent lava flows . This afternoon , we visit the home of a local family that makes chocolate and learn about the production process .

DAY 12 • Explore colonial Antigua • Meet local artist • Petén We travel to colonial Antigua today where we ’ ll visit San Felipe de Jesus , a small church , and meet a local artisan who will delve into his craft . Then , we ’ ll fly to Petén .
