DAY 3 • Explore Famagusta ’ s “ ghost city ” Drive to Famagusta on the Turkish side of the island for a tour of the “ ghost city ” of Varosha , a one-time vacation hotspot that has been uninhabited since the Turkish military took control of the region in the 1970s . Later , enjoy a Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant .

DAY 4 • Visit Curium • Discover Paphos • Embark ship
Discover the western side of Cyprus today , with a tour of the ancient ruins of Curium — including its iconic Greco-Roman theater , still in use today — followed by a visit to Paphos , where a blend of prehistoric , classical , and Byzantine ruins give testament to a storied past . Later , embark the 89-passenger M / V Clio , your home for the next seven nights .

DAY 5 • Larnaca • Explore Nicosia , Cyprus We ’ ll discover Nicosia , Cyprus ’ capital city that is controversially divided between Greek and Turkish authorities . We ’ ll tour both sides of the city , then return to our ship , stopping for a tour of the cathedral of St . Lazarus . The cathedral was constructed in the 9th century , and is purported to be built over the final resting place of Lazarus , who according to Christian legend was resurrected from his first tomb by Jesus . Eastern Orthodox tradition alleges that Lazarus traveled to Cyprus after Jesus ’ crucifixion ( followed by his own resurrection ), fleeing from threats to his life .

DAY 6 • At sea We ’ ll spend the day at leisure onboard our ship . Perhaps you ’ ll relax on the Sun Deck , reveling in the warmth of the Mediterranean and falling under the spell that lured so many legendary Greek heroes from their home ports .

DAY 7 • Rhodes , Greece Discover Rhodes , the largest island of the Dodecanese . With an important strategic location for Mediterranean Sea routes , an inviting climate , and stunning scenery , it was considered a plum prize for would-be rulers . Set off on a walking tour of Rhodes ’ Old Town , which has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO . Along
the way , learn about the island ’ s history and witness palaces belonging to the mysterious Knights of Malta .
