I grew up just outside of Cuzco , Peru , along with my three brothers and one sister . My mom and dad worked hard to give us the gift of education , and for the last two decades , I ' ve worked as a Trip Experience Leader . I love having the opportunity to share my culture and show the world how hard-working and warm Peruvian people are . One of my most memorable experiences was when our group spontaneously stopped at a farm to learn about harvesting potatoes . As we started talking to the farmers , they gave us some cooked potatoes to sample . It was unexpected , educational , and heart-warming .

I love to immerse my travelers into the local culture and take them off the beaten path . I recall once we were in a Moroccan oasis , and suddenly we saw several women carrying tables . When I approached them to ask what they were doing , I discovered that a new baby was born in the village and they ’ re preparing for the naming ceremony . They invited my travelers into their home , and we met the new mother and her newborn baby . Not any tourist could do that on their own !
