Move over breakfast , brunch is the most important meal of the day ! We chat to Joan Wilson owner of Tattle at The Chambers about one of the ever-growing foodie trends : brunch .

The playful blend of “ breakfast ” and “ lunch ” first appeared in an 1895 Hunter ’ s Weekly article , where British author Guy Beringer suggested an alternative to the heavier post-church Sunday meals in favour of a lighter fare served later on in the morning .
Brunch is cheerful , sociable and inciting ,” Beringer said . “ It is talk-compelling . It puts you in a good temper , it makes you satisfied with yourself and your fellow beings , it sweeps away the worries and cobwebs of the week .”
While it is still designed to bring people together it is far more elevated than its former self , and is now being considered one of the most important dining out experiences friends and family share in .
With brunch one of the most googled terms globally , cafes are changing their menu to allow for this socialising must-do . While brunch might be a more causal experience as opposed to a full-service dinner the food and drinks on offer is anything but .
“ Our kitchen is embracing a menu that allows customers to explore much farther than simply breakfast ,” Joan Wilson said .
“ We asked , what are our customers telling us they would like to eat and we listened to them . The key to a great brunch experience is a bustling atmosphere and an exciting menu ,” Joan said .
“ There isn ’ t a country in the world that doesn ’ t have a knock out brunch dish , we have created an enticing menu , kept the dishes affordable and added some grown up twists on the classics ,” Joan Wilson said .
“ When people come to Tattle we want them to feel excited about catching up with friends and sharing stories over a coffee or better still a cocktail , sit on the outdoor deck or down the garden laneway and just simply relax .
“ Combine this relaxing experience with fresh eggs , Tattle ’ s signature Brioche French Toast or not-so Breakfast Bruschetta and add a Raspberry Rose Bellini or spicy Bloody Mary ’ s to the mix you start to get a picture of a great social outing ,” Joan said .
Tattle is open seven days a week from 7am to 3pm and offers an all-day breakfast menu . To view the menu visit : www . the-chambers . com . au / tattle
