KICKARTS COLLECTION
KickArts Contemporary Arts Collection embraces the critical distance of
the Far North Queensland region that fosters a high degree of creativity
and innovation. Over 400 pieces strong, the Collection includes
paintings, sculptures, prints, conceptual, mixed media, and digital
media artworks. The collection highlights our role within the Asia
Pacific region revealing works by international artists alongside local
artists.
KickArts Contemporary Arts is showcasing works from the Collection
in two exhibitions across Far North Queensland in 2018. Critical
Distance – Highlights from the KickArts Collection reveals the long
history of KickArts Collection and the multitude of artists featured and
artworks acquired. The exhibition is on display at KickArts Gallery One
from the 28th of April to the 2nd of June 2018.
Far North Queensland Indigenous print works from KickArts Collection will
feature in an exhibition at the Tablelands Regional Gallery from the 10th of
July to the 9th of September 2018. These works illustrate the success of
Djumbunji Press in fostering the creativity and artistic expression of our region.
