Create a board game

Chicks!

Asalamu alakaikum,

We were asked to design and make our own board game. My game was called the ‘Best of the seas.’ In this game you have to try and avoid the sharks and try and land on as many fish as you can. At the end of the game the one with the most points wins. To make the game, it was really hard. We had to make the counters, the board, the questions, and write the instructions. We were even allowed to laminate some of the cards. It was a job well done. Ammaar

The nurseries had chicks. They were very lucky to have them in their class room. I wish they were in the year 5 class room. We got to go see the chicks when they were eggs. There were little cracks in the eggs. The year 5 class wanted to see them hatch. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see them hatch. Some of them hatched overnight. Then we got to see the chicks and they were so cute and furry. We also got to hold the chicks. When they grew a little bit bigger the chicks were very jumpy and I felt that at any second they would just jump out of my hand. On Wednesday somebody came to take the chicks. It was so sad to see the chicks go. Haleema

Visiting Wenlock

When I entered the classroom my mouth opened with a drop. I was so scared but I though t if I get scared others might too. So I quickly helped to get everything ready. Then we began th e presentation. It went really well and we helped each other were required. At the end when we did the quiz where lots of hands were shooting up and nearly all the children got the questions right. It was fun and now I know how to face my fear if I have to. Stay calm and do not look at the audiences faces. Imaan
