Woodside Farm Visit

Reception class visited Woodside Farm for the
end of year trip. It was a great experience,
enjoyed thoroughly by the whole class. There
was opportunity to feed the farm animals –
goats, sheep, rabbits, llamas, geese and
donkeys. The children also admired the
flamingos, peacocks and tortoises. The
children had a fantastic chance to hold some
animals and learn about their feeding habits
and how to look after them. These petting
animals included chinchillas, chicks, a corn
snake, rats, chameleons and rabbits.
End of Year School Performance
and Award Ceremony
12th June 2015
Our Reception class children joined the rest of
the school for the end of year school
performance and award ceremony held at
Dallow Community Centre. Reception class
performed one English and one Arabic nasheed
beautifully on stage in front of parents, teachers
and the rest of the school. During the award
ceremony, Reception class children received
certificates for outstanding / good progress in all
or specific subjects and good behaviour,
presented by the Head Teacher and Ustaadh
Mevludin.
Sports Day
8th June 2015
The Reception class took part in Sports Day along with Primary school at Stockwood
Athletics Centre. It was a lovely warm day and many parents attended. Reception class
competed in the 80 metre and 200 metre races as well as the relay race and long jump. All
children tried really hard and displayed good sportsmanship. Gold medals were awarded to
Yunus Koyes for achieving the highest points amongst the boys in reception class and to
Safa Hussain for achieving the highest points amongst the girls. Well done Yunus and Safa!
