superheroes original art, comics, and books uncover the great-
est creators and characters of the genre.
Wonder Works Children’s Museum, 6445 W. North Ave.: You
never know what to expect on a S.T.E.A.M. Saturday! Every
Saturday children will be experimenting with S.T.E.A.M. based
learning! All activities will be hands on and children will get to
explore science, technology, engineering, art and math through
age appropriate guided activities.

Pavilion, 1000 Wellington Ave.: Family Nerf Night Join us for
a Nerf Battle! This action packed evening will have families
competing in a variety of different nerf battles. Prior to the
competition, pizza and dessert will be served. Be sure to come
dressed in your athletic attire and ready for some friendly com-
petition! Eye protection is required and will be provided (or you
may bring your own) A limited amount of blasters are available
for use, or you may bring you own! Registration is per person:
$20 R / $24 NR. Deadline: Nov. 4. Register online .
City Lit Books, 2523 N. Kedzie Blvd.: Twice a week we provide
a story time in the children’s secion of our store. Led by Miss
Kimberly, co-owner of Volumes and former preschool teacher/
director. Children typically get 2-3 books read to them, fol-
lowed by songs and a craft. On Wednesdays we recommend
getting there early to grab a spot!

this interactive, fun course parents learn how to re-frame chal-
lenges, address feelings compassionately, set limits, and how
to understand misbehavior in order to tailor their discipline
