Kohl Children’s Museum of Greater Chicago, 2100 Patriot Blvd:
”Storyland: A Trip Through Childhood Favorites” allows kids to
immerse themselves in the life-sized worlds of children’s books.
Children can build literacy skills through interactive experiences
and dramatic play with a focus on vocabulary, narrative skills
and letter knowledge.
The Tempel Lipizzans, 17000 Wadsworth Road: Come for a very
special behind-the-scenes look at The Tempel Lipizzans training
program. Our tour guides will take you through the stallion
stables to learn all about the history of the Lipizzan, classical
riding, and our farm. We finish in the arena with a viewing of a
daily training session.

and stretch your imaginations during Big Thinkers! The Kasian
Room is transformed into a family-friendly creative play space
and discovery center. There are new themes to explore every
week. Puppets, puzzles, books, musical instruments, and more
are on hand to pique your curiosity and spark new ideas. Drop
in to play and THINK BIG!
The Stahl Family Theater, 5900 W. Belmont Ave.: Three Sister
Piggies set out to build their own houses. Which house will
the Big Bad Wolf “huff and puff and blow down?” All CKC
productions feature professional actors, colorful scenery and
costumes, sing-along songs, and plenty of audience participa-
tion. Perfect for children ages 2 to 10.

Sleep for 100 years? Or can her true love save her with a Kiss?

program combines traditional preschool activities with outdoor
discovery. Includes outdoor free play; simple science experi-
ments; activities about plants, animals, and observing the
changing seasons. Children must be toilet-trained.
Spring Valley Nature Center, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road. Cel-
ebrate the beauty of winter at this family event! Indoor and
outdoor activities will include snowshoeing, horse-drawn wag-
on rides, ice fishing demo, outdoor games, indoor crafts and
games, marshmallows and cocoa around a bonfire, and more.
