Trails & Trivia: Bird Edition

Get outside and explore this summer! Your task is to find the
hidden objects and answer a few trivia questions in eight of our
community parks. One lucky winner receives $100 Park District Gift
Certificate! To get started, simply download or pick up a scorecard
at Spring Avenue Recreation Center, Main Street Recreation Center,
Holes & Knolls Mini Golf Course or Ackerman SFC. Free.
Borse Community Park, 208 Midway Dr. Our 5K run/walk & has
combined with our first Community Fair. Activities include petting
zoo, bounce houses, face painting and vendor area. 5K: $25 prerace, $30 day of. Kids Run: $10. Community Fair is free.

Scavenger Hunt in the Parks. Get your clue packet at Playhouse 38,
then head to three different parks. Find various items, take pictures

& older (some holes may be challenging for younger ages). Free!

Downtown Lombard, St. Charles Rd. & Main St. Held the first Sunday each May, the fair features a crafters and artisans with handmade items as well as entertainment, food and a FREE Kid Zone.
Just a short walk from historic Lilacia Park featuring 200 varieties of
lilacs and 50 varieties of tulips, as well as perennials, annuals, trees
and shrubs and an herb garden, all on 6 acres. Free to attend.

Maryknoll Park, 845 Pershing Ave. See Chicago Kite flying their
super kites. Build your own kite or purchase one on-site. Chicago
Kite will drop candy from one of their kites. Come for lunch - brats,
burgers and hot dogs available for purchase. Play in the playground
or enjoy a round of mini golf. Mention “Kite Fly” in the Clubhouse
and receive $1 off mini golf. Free.
York Center Park District, 1609 S. Luther Ave. Does your child love
to experiment with new things? Come join us for some science
experimenting fun! Each week we will become scientists and try
a new experiment. Wear play clothes! Ages: 3-5 years. Fee: $10/
