Park District: Family Skate Sunday is a weekly event for families
to have fun and exercise together! The park district offers lower
rates on Sundays from 1-2 p.m.. $3 admission for kids under 12
and $5 for adults. Skate rental is $3 for everyone.
2800 West Lake Ave: Swing into summer with a competitive
day of golf. Parents and their child age 5 and up will enjoy a day
on the golf course and play together to win prizes. The fee is
$65 per twosome. Registration deadline is Aug. 21. Tee times

The Morton Arboretum, 4100 Illinois Route 53: Sensory-Friend-
ly Sundays offer the opportunity for families with children who
are 18 months to 10 years old who have sensory needs to ex-
perience a less crowded Children’s Garden with minimal noise.
Registration is required.
Northbrook Sports Center, 1730 Pfingsten Road: Is your child
ready for skating lessons? We offer a free skating class for chil-
dren who are interested in learning to skate. Three-year-olds
must be potty trained. The free classes are open to children who
have not taken skating lessons. Our professional staff teach
basic skating skills, help determine readiness for class and
present a brief overview of Northbrook Sports Center programs.
Children are grouped by age. Registration is required. Choose
