amila Mustafa landed her first national
commercial, after her first audition,
at the tender age of 10 years old and
hasn’t looked back since. Appearing in
commercials, TV shows, pilots, and films
for networks including Fox, MTV, A&E, FX and
more. She has spoken in over 20 states to crowds
of 20,000 in hopes of inspiring others to follow their
dreams.
Following Mustafa’s competitive spirit, coupled
with her desire to inspire young women, Mustafa
began pageantry in 2010 winning the title of Miss
Delaware Teen Essence. She later became Miss
Teen Essence USA 2011, Miss Middle Town
America, Miss Delaware top 10, Miss Delaware
State University and Miss HBCU 1st runner up.
Her platform on juvenile diabetes helped raise over
$80,000 dollars, as she served as the youngest
board member and earned over three city council
resolutions.
Mustafa attended Delaware State University where
she majored in Mass Communications with a
concentration in TV, radio and film. Serving as WDSU
TV’s host, producer and content creator. In two years
of graduating, Mustafa was recognized as 40 under
40, and invited to be on the communications Hall of
Fame. In 2015, Mustafa traveled to Beijing, China
with the JI LI Project and created a documentary
titled 14 Days In Beijing along with internationally
published articles.
Mustafa, served as the co-creator and host of the
ADVOCATE, airing on Comcast 28, host of BET’s
BREAKS and ESPN2’s Rucker Park Classic.
Mustafa believes, “The dream is free... but the hustle
is sold separately.”
