Assessment for programs and General Studies
To help students succeed, NWTC requires a placement assessment for everyone who applies to a program or registers for a General Studies course.
• The Accuplacer assessment finds each student’ s reading, writing, and math levels.( TABE, ACT, Asset, or Compass scores can also be used.)
• This allows students to brush up on needed skills and to start class well prepared.
• Students may register for General Studies classes only after they reach the required skill level.
• Coming Soon: Compass 5.0
