Program Code: 103071 The Early Childhood Education program prepares students to work as teacher-caregivers in early childhood settings. The program combines hands-on fieldwork in area centers with related academic work at the College. Early childhood educators are responsible for the care and education of children in the birth-to-eight-years age range. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining safe and healthy play environments, guiding behavior, planning and implementing learning activities, and working cooperatively with staff and parents.
