WTCS SHOWCASE OF STUDENT ENGAGEMENT
Students share contributions with
legislators and policymakers.
Each spring, the Wisconsin Technical
College System (WTCS) holds the Student
Showcase event at the State Capitol to
highlight student projects that demonstrate
technical college ties to industry, as well as
the value of service-learning opportunities
to communities throughout the state.
This showcase is an opportunity to share
with legislators and the community that
technical college students and graduates
are skilled, well-rounded leaders in
the workplace and the community,
routinely balancing school, work, and
family with leadership and service.

NWTC was represented by students in
the Digital Media program giving a live
broadcast of the NWTC radio station
TC Campus Connect. Associate Degree
Nursing program students were also on-
site, sharing their Badger Camp service-
learning experience where they served as
camp nurses throughout the summer.
“Our students possess not only the technical
skills to help employers compete and
expand,” said NWTC President H. Jeffrey
Rafn, “they also consistently demonstrate
the leadership skills needed to succeed
in the workplace and in the community.”
