Lynda explained that serving
the Marinette area is of mutual
benefit to both the community and
the nursing students education.
“Service-Learning is so deeply
embedded within the nursing
profession, it’s really the essence of
nursing to care for the community.
Service-Learning to me just falls
naturally in nursing curriculum and
the students find it very energizing.
It’s so important and so impactful
for their education.”
When asked to reflect on what
their favorite part of the service-
learning experiences were, students
responded, “Seeing it all come
together. We all have different
talents and interactions with people.”
Another student responded,
“The camaraderie, we need more
of this!”
