College Policies and Procedures
Accommodation for Religious Beliefs Policy
NWTC is committed to embracing the worth
of every individual, creating a place for
all people, and promoting the respectful
environment necessary for intellectual and
personal discovery. Removing barriers to serve
a diverse population with a variety of religious
beliefs and practices sustains this principle.
NWTC may provide a reasonable accommodation
based on a person’s sincerely held religious belief.
In making this determination, NWTC reviews
a variety of factors, including whether the
accommodation would create an undue hardship
for the College. The accommodation request
imposes responsibilities and obligations on both
the requesting individual and the College. For

Gender Discrimination and Sexual Misconduct
Nearly every NWTC employee can help
students (and other employees) begin the
process of leaving dangerous situations and
relationships, asserting their rights to equal
treatment, and achieving their dreams. For
complete policy, go to nwtc.edu/Policies.
Nondiscrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy
NWTC is committed to taking all appropriate
measures to maintain an environment free from
discrimination and harassment. For that reason, the
College will not tolerate unlawful discrimination,
harassment of any kind, or retaliation against
a person who files a complaint relating to
discrimination or harassment by an employee,
student, customer, or vendor or who participates
in the investigation of a complaint. Discriminating,
harassing and retaliatory behavior may be grounds
for corrective and disciplinary action, up to and
including termination or expulsion from the College.
