The Early Childhood Education Administrator Credential supports the development of skills and competencies needed by administrators and directors to be successful. You will receive an overview of the roles and responsibilities of administrators in early childhood programs and will learn about budgeting, fiscal management, marketing, licensing, and accreditation, as well as operations and facility management. The Administrator Credential is a six-course, 18-credit sequence, courses can be taken in any order and concurrently, as long as 10-307-186 ECE: Child Care-Administrator is taken last. Completion of all six courses will prepare learners to receive Wisconsin Registry’ s Child Care Administration Credential, along with meeting the requirement from The Department of Children and Families for directors of group childcare programs licensed for 51 or more children, without an education degree.

Curriculum Note: Students must earn a grade of " C " or higher in all 10-307-XXX courses to successfully graduate the Early Childhood: Child Care Administration Certificate. If a grade earned is " D " or " F ", the course must be retaken to earn the grade of " C " or better to continue in and graduate from this program. If the course is sequential, the successful retake must occur before continuing the sequence.
