The Career and Technical Education Instruction program prepares individuals to teach technology education / industrial arts programs. Graduates will be ready to teach occupational, vocational, career, or technical subjects to students at the middle and secondary school level. Wisconsin DPI Experienced- Based Licensure for Technical and Vocational Education Subjects form PI-1623 and accompanying documentation of 200 hours of related work experience or completion of a baccalaureate degree are needed to meet licensure requirements in the state of WI. This product would provide students the education needed to qualify for experience-based technical and vocational education pathway with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Requirements for Program Entry
• To be admitted to this program, learners must achieve a prior cumulative high school or college grade point average of 2.6 or higher OR a satisfactory academic skills assessment score. Once you are accepted to the program, you will need to complete a Caregiver Background Check. A fee is charged for this service. Additional information will be provided upon acceptance into the program.

Program Outcomes
Apply basic safety practices. Demonstrate proper use of tools and equipment. Read technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams. Create CAD geometry, parts, and assemblies. Apply child development theory to practice. Effectively communicate and perform in a team environment. Apply critical thinking skills to solving problems.
Curriculum
The Career & Technical Education Instruction Degree is a two-year, fivesemester program. Upon graduation, a student will have completed 67 credits.
