The Fire Protection Technician Program at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College prepares students for employment as Fire�ghters , EMTs , and Fire Inspectors on municipal �re departments , and for �re protection related careers within private industry . The objectives of the program include instructing quali�ed students who are seeking a career in the �re service and also updating �re�ghters and �re of�cers on changes within the �re service . Students have the opportunity to earn Fire�ghter Level I , Fire�ghter Level II , Certi�ed Driver Operator / Pumper and Fire Inspector I state certi�cations as well as an Emergency Medical Technician ( EMT-Basic ) license while in the program . As a graduate of the Fire Protection Technician Program , individuals will be prepared for entry level positions in municipal and rural �re departments throughout the State .
