A 90 day wait-period must be satisfied after owner transfer, professional training / coaching for either horse or rider AOT All Divisions 2 Gait( Class 83): Open to TWH, SSH, RH that are AOT. Gait calls will be First and Second Gait AOT All Divisions 3 Gait( Class 120): Open to TWH, SSH, RH that are AOT. Gait calls will be First and Second Gait, and Canter. SSH AOT All Divisions 2 Gait( Class 97, 215): Open to all SSH that are AOT. Gait Calls will be Show Walk and Show Gait RH AOT All Divisions 2 Gait( Class 157, 199): Open to all RH that are AOT. Gait Calls will be Trail Walk / Show Walk and Trail Rack / Slow Rack.
Dressage
• Horses may enter up to( 3) Traditional Dressage tests on Saturday and( 3) Western Dressage classes on Sunday
• Entries will be limited to 60 tests per day and are first-come first-serve. Entries received after the allotted tests are full will be placed on a waiting list in the order they are received. Ride times will be posted to www. thenwhanational. com.
• Dressage First Level Test of Choice and Western Dressage First Level Test of Choice riders will be able to ride up to( 3) classes in this level if they choose this level for their( 3) class distribution.
Trail Obstacle
• Novice( Class 12) Open to any horse / rider combination that has not won a blue ribbon in Trail Obstacle classes at any National. Western horses of any age may ride two-handed in an NWHA legal snaffle or shank bit in this class ONLY.
• In-Hand( Class 16) Open to any age exhibitor or horse
Western Riding and Basic Reining( Novice Classes 23, 25) open to either horse or rider who have never won a blue ribbon in Western Riding or Basic Reining at The National. Riders may ride with two hands in a shank bit and do simple lead changes vs. flying lead changes.
Equitation: If more than( 4) youth entries in the Adult / Youth, class will be run concurrently and two sets of ribbons will be awarded separately to Adult and Youth exhibitors.
• Intermediate Equitation( 77) is a 2-gait class and for Novice Riders only( not to have won a blue ribbon in stock seat or walking seat equitation at any NWHA National) and may cross enter into 3-gait equitation classes( 19 and 31).

Youth Exhibitors
• Youth exhibitors are 17 years of age on January 1, 2025
• Stallions: No stallions allowed in lead line or youth handler / exhibitor classes, including in-hand classes
• Helmets: Certified helmets required for all riders 11 & under
Gait Calls for Open Classes
• Racking Horse: Open Division, Jr. Horse 5 & Under, Regional Grand Championship- Trail Pleasure Walk or Show Walk, Trail Pleasure Rack or Slow Rack
• SSH: Open Division, Regional Grand Championship – Show Walk, Show Gait
• Double Rider – Pleasure Gait, Trail Walk
