Trail Riders Award Program Logs
New for 2023 , CHIP and TRIP have been consolidated to our new rebranded trail program , TRAP . Annual award categories are : High Mile Adult Rider ; High Mile Youth ; High Mile Horse . Riders can accumulate miles using rides from December 1 , 2022 – November 30 , 2023 . Anyone previously tallying hours with TRIP can convert their logs to miles by using 3 miles for every 1 hour ridden . https :// nwha . com / trail
Dressage Horse of the Year Logs
Horses and riders who show consistency in competition throughout the entire show season in Dressage can earn this award . This program uses an average of scores with the highest median score being awarded the NWHA Dressage Horse of the Year . https :// nwha . com / dressage

Neil Clark Memorial Scholarship Applications are due September 1 , 2023
This scholarship program is to encourage youth participation in equestrian sport at NWHA events and at The National Championship show . Funds are to be used for educational purposes or towards the advancement of the winners ’ equestrian experience and will be awarded at the 2023 National Show . Total of $ 500 awarded ; $ 250 ( 12 and under ), and $ 250 ( 13-17 ) Age is determined as of Jan 1 of the current year .
NWHA Scholarship Applications are due July 31 , 2023
The NWHA Scholarship was established in 2015 to provide monetary assistance to degree seeking members who are ineligible for other scholarship awards .
Pegasus Award Nominations are due January 1 , 2024
An award to recognize an NWHA member who has given outstanding service through donations of personal time , funds , and energy to advance the NHWA mission .
Youth Achievement Awards Nominations are due January 1 , 2024
An award presented to the NWHA youth member who exemplifies the highest level of dedication and support of the NWHA mission and organization by inspiring and educating others through leadership and community events that promote NWHA and the sound walking horse .
