BOARD MEETING HIGHLIGHTS

The 2021 National Preliminary recap : 217 horses and 1,100 entries . Payments for stalls , shavings , and RV slots balanced . Show committee is investigating starting dressage on Sunday for next year . Show committee will provide laminated gait calls guidelines for center ring .
The next virtual dressage show is October 23 , 2021 .
Applications are being accepted for Executive Committee Board positions .
NOVEMBER 2021
The 2021 National showed an overall profit . The last virtual dressage show is Nov . 20 , 2021 .
Versatility Committee is investigating a Ranch Horse program for the Versatility Division .
The next issue of the National News will be published by December .
The 2022 Annual Meeting will be Friday and Saturday , January 21 & 22 , 2022 at the Embassy Suites in Nashville , TN .
The 2022 National will start on Sunday , a day early .
The virtual dressage series was successful with participants from all over the country and showed an overall profit .
2022 Annual Meeting plans are being finalized .
All candidates for the 2022 Board of Directors have been contacted and ballots are being mailed .
Novel Thread will send the check for our percentage from the National . Novel Thread ’ s page on the NWHA website will be updated for better advertising .
A request was sent to the Rules Committee for NWHA to consider aligning ADP rules as follows : offer a snaffle only division ; add an extended gait ; disallow gag bits ; and change the shank length to 5 ”. The request will be investigated .
The Horseshoe for center ring will be refurbished keeping the same design and color scheme .
No nominations have been received for the Pegasus award . This award hasn ’ t been awarded in two years . We will discuss this at Annual Meeting .
Applications are being accepted for Board of Director positions .
J . Finerfrock will take the NWHA files and property to a storage unit .
The job description for the NWHA office personnel is being updated and the job will be posted for applicants .
NWHA will sponsor 2 trophies for the 4-H Eastern Nationals .
