I hope that everyone is having a great show season and staying cool ! The 2024 Show Season is in
full swing and I am grateful for the support of the
NWHA affiliated shows across the country .
This year , we added two new regional shows in Kentucky and South
Carolina . It is exciting to see NWHA Regional Championship shows returning to Region 4 and Region 5 , and I would like to give a special “ Thank-you ” to Shannon Gibbs for making that possible this year . Also , thank you to our membership who continue to support NWHA affiliated events . Be sure to keep an eye on the High Point tally through the Walking Horse Report throughout the year to check your current standings from all the affiliated shows !
The NWHA Board of Directors is truly looking forward to this year ’ s NWHA National Championship Show , held September 22-28 in Murfreesboro , TN at the Miller Coliseum . The membership votes are in , and we are thrilled to announce our Judges Panel ; Honorable Jason Bachert ( MO ), Honorable Carol Camp ( TN ), and Honorable Zachary Parsons ( TN ). Announcements as we lead up to the show will be communicated through e-mail and the NWHA Facebook page , so be sure to opt-in to one ( or both ) of those options to keep up on the latest updates . New for 2024 , we are excited to announce our new Amateur Owned and Trained Elite
program that offers jackpot style paybacks at the end of the show season . So far , we have 14 program enrollees and we would like to encourage all AOT eligible members to participate , and take advantage of the discounted nomination fee of $ 200 before September 1st .
