BOARD MEETING HIGHLIGHTS
NOVEMBER 10 , 2020
Deposit : Embassy Suites returned the deposit for the canceled Annual Meeting .
Plans are under way for The 2021 National .
Versatility Committee will be split into 2 separate committees - Versatility and Dressage .
Horse of the Year Program will no longer have an annual fee and will be included with membership .
Members will still be required to submit scores with the same criteria – 5 scores from 3 different shows , same judging requirements , same divisions . Awards will be given to the following categories : Open , amateur , and youth .
DQP training will be held in Shelbyville , TN , date to be announced .
Judges training : Plans are under discussion for judges training .
The Virtual Award presentation will be the same date the live awards were originally scheduled . Invitations will be sent to members .
Board Retreat will be held virtually , date to be announced .
NWHA News : The next issue of NWHA News will be after high point awards .
Nominating Committee slate of officer candidates submitted . Ballots will be mailed to membership .
Vendor : Novel Thread Company was approved as the NWHA Merchandising Vendor .
2021 Region 4 Regional Championship Show approved for May 1 & 2 , 2021 to be held in Statesboro , GA .

The National : Venues for 2021 National Show are being investigated .
Approved virtual dressage shows in 2021 , to be managed by Greystone Dressage Services .
Zoom has been purchased for Annual meeting and awards . Options for shipping HP awards discussed .
Ballots for the 2021 Board of Directors have been mailed to all members .
Informational : FEI has banned whisker trimming in International Competitions starting in 2021 .
