USDA Amendment Proposal Clarification presented by President Amy Spinelli
Federal Register : 9 CFR Part 11 released on July 26 , 2016 - proposal for amendment of the HPA . A clarification was released on September 23 , 2016 as well as the comment period extended to October 26 , 2016 . The clarification is to consider amending 11.2 ( a3 ) regarding keg shoes and 16 ounces in weight limit for shoes . The NWHA press release has not been sent to USDA for comment due to the comment period extension and clarification , in addition to seeking member input .

Racking division : Pleasure division addition , verbiage changes and survey results by C . Weeks
Results of the survey to include pleasure racking rules as written along with changes to both Country Pleasure Racking and Trail Pleasure Racking in the 2017 rulebook survey came back with the majority of member input in favor .
