NWHA BOD Minutes December 13, 2016 Conference Call

Meeting called to order by President Amy Spinelli at 8:03 pm EST.

USDA update and DQP status by Peggy Moore To date, the proposal of amendments to the HPA status has changed to for approval in the Office of Management and Budgeting. It is the assumption that significant implementation would not be put in place for 2017 and a time for DQP training has been reserved. DQPs in the areas adjacent to IN, OH and MI are desired to fulfill organizational needs.

Financial Report by K. McGuire Financial report / schedules to be prepared for the last couple of years for annual meeting Account balance is steady and

Kathee McGuire will assume Quickbooks data entry / reporting and support the office of the Treasurer in financial matters beginning Jan 1, 2017. Duties to include, but not limited to: the National show and annual meeting specifically, A / R and A / P as directed.

Kentucky Horse Park Office presented by A. Spinelli The lease on the office space at the KHP is expiring. The rent will be increased after the initial lease term expires. The expense to maintain the office space with utilities and insurance expenses is an annual cost of over $ 10,000.00 not including the associated costs of manpower. Encouraging electronic and paperless operations will increase capital and contribute significant funding for member programs / incentives as

Kimberly O’ Connor will assume administrative duties and organizational requirements beginning Jan 1, 2017. In addition Mrs. O’ Connor will take responsibility for securing all NWHA property from the KHP and will store such property at no cost to NWHA.

Motion to officially close the KHP NWHA office space and secure an official mailing address for correspondence purposes by M. Ranft 2nd by M. Coffey Approved
