My name is Shannon Gibbs.
I was born and raised in
Apex, North Carolina. I
have been married to my
wonderful husband Leon
for 14 years. I started with
Tennessee Walking Horses
at the age of 13 at a farm
near my home and was
hooked. I started showing at
the age of 14 in local shows
and bought my own horse
at the age of 18. That mare
and I went on to win the
Country Pleasure Racking
class at Nationals when she
was a 4 year old and the
overall Country Pleasure
Racking High Point. I have
also owned Spotted Saddle
Horses and Racking Horses.
I have been judging horses
for the National Walking
Horse Association since
2011. I also currently hold a
judge’s license with WHOA.
I am honored, humbled
and pleased to be judging
the 2018 Nationasl with two
other exceptional judges.
My name is Ronnie Sapp.
I was born and raised in
Pikeville, Tennessee and I am
very proud to be a Veteran
of the United States Army. My
wife’s name is Tammy and
we have two sons, Tyler and
Zach. I got started in the horse
world at the age of 10 when
my Grandpa bought me my
first spotted pony. My dream
was to have my own horse
barn. My wife and I opened
Whispering Wind Stables
in 1988. I started judging in
1990. I hold a judges license
for NWAH, WHOA, and
SSHBEA. I am very proud and
honored to be selected as
a 2018 Nationals Judge.
My name is Lori Snyder-Lowe.
I reside in Malta, Ohio with
my husband, Mike, and
daughter, Athena. I have
been an amateur owner/
trainer of Tennessee Walking
Horses for over 30 years and
have been judging TWH
and open breed shows for
over 20 years. I work as the
superintendent of a large
school district in southeastern
Ohio and enjoy spending
my free time on the family
farm with my horses. I have
been an NWHA member
since it’s inception and
judged the first NWHA
National Championship
show as well as several
other Nationals. I enjoy the
outstanding comradery
and sportsmanship in NWHA
and love the natural way of
going of the NWHA horses.
