hands, and doing something tactile,” says Ellie.“ There is a flow when you’ re painting, where you don’ t have to think so much about what you’ re doing. Your mind can wander, or you can listen to music. It’ s quite pleasant.” Here’ s more from this dynamic duo.
How do you describe your artistic style? Xaivier: Fun, vibrant, inclusive, and contemporary.
Who is your typical customer? Xaivier: They’ re commercial clients who want to create a dynamic way to activate their space, focus on their unique brand and story, and engage their employees and audience.
Obviously, it depends, but approximately how long does it take to complete an average-sized mural? Xaivier: Two to four weeks.
What’ s been the most difficult project you’ ve worked on and why? Xaivier: For our Kellanova project, we had a very tight timeline, giving us six weeks to design and complete 12 installations, with even more-limited timelines for some installations in order to work within their plant shutdown during the weeks over Thanksgiving and Christmas.
What’ s the mural you’ re most proud of? Xaivier: I would say our first one, because it was a leap of faith. We were thrust into starting a business together and didn’ t have a precedent for how it would turn out.
What does the future hold for Rome Mural CoLab? Ellie: One thing we’ d like to do is plan a couple of projects that are led purely by our own artistic inclinations. For that purpose, we’ d love to identify if there are any“ wall donations” in the Rome / Cartersville area— any public-facing, privately owned walls that people would be open to letting us have free roam on. If so, hit us up.
What are some of your favorite things to do in the area? Ellie: Hiking and biking, camping, glamping, and grabbing good eats.
Xaivier: I love hiking Pine Mountain, jogging along the Rome trails, and finding good spots to eat with my family.
What’ s your guilty pleasure? Ellie: Really yummy desserts like eclairs

or candy like salted caramels. Xaivier: Watching dance videos.
What’ s your pet peeve? Ellie: When someone is such a talker that they forget to listen. It feels less like a conversation and more like a monologue.
Xaivier: People who are quick to form an opinion and are inconsiderate of different forms of thought.
What’ s the last show you binge-watched? Ellie: Severance, season two. Amazing.
Xaivier: Pop Star Academy: Katseye.
What’ s your hidden talent? Ellie: I love aerial silks. The challenge is exciting.
Xaivier: Maybe that I’ m really perceptive and can read people well.
What’ s something you always have in your purse or pocket? Ellie: Ten different lip products and Tootsie Rolls. Xaivier: A snack and a Posca marker.
