Welcome
Welcome to our staff spirituality day!
We know that at this time Catholic Schools have an integral role to play in the formation of just, caring, compassionate communities for our country and the world beyond. The role of staff in these faith communities is an extremely important one that comes with a great deal of responsibility. It is also an extremely privileged one, where through endeavours that are service oriented and Christ centred, great achievements can be made for individuals, school communities and, in turn, broader society.
Today we will focus on what it is to be a Catholic School in a contemporary world, and explore our own spirituality in this context. So please make the most of the experiences offered today in furthering your understanding on who we are and our purpose at this time and in this place.

One of my favourite jobs as Principal is doing the Kindergarten interviews. Mum and Dad and sometimes Grandparents come in with their precious 4 year old, a bit anxious, but full of hope for the future of their child. They almost always say, “We want to come to a Catholic school because you offer something special, something extra.”
What is this “special and extra” that we, in Catholic schools offer? It is certainly something that we should treasure and nurture, and that is what we hope to spend today doing, both in a personal way, and as a whole Kinder to Year 12 Catholic community.
