The Magnet Designation
Children’s Hospital Colorado submitted documentation for a 4th Magnet Designation on
September 25, 2019. The document was sponsored by Pat Givens, DHA, EdM, RN, NEA-
BC, and prepared by the Research, Innovation & Professional Practice Team, under the
direction of Lindsey M. Tarasenko, PhD, RN (Magnet Program Director) and Cathy Kleiner,
PhD, RN (Department Director). The document was reviewed by Magnet Appraisers and
the Magnet Program Office at the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Children’s
Colorado will host a virtual site visit August 24, 2020 through August 27, 2020, and the
organization will be going into site visit with zero deficiencies.
