Heather Randle
Heather Randle became the UK professional lead for primary care at the RCN in 2021 , and also holds the role of RCN UK head of nursing education .
She is a registered nurse and independent nurse prescriber , with more than 30 years ’ experience working across the NHS , primary care , independent sector and academia .
Separately to the RCN , Ms Randle is also a regional quality lead nurse and advanced nurse practitioner in the Midlands , working with general practice and urgent care centres .
Having held various local , regional and national roles , Ms Randle has always maintained a foot in practice ’ and is believed to be ‘ one of the first practice nurses .
