TRAVELING TO
CUBA
The United States has recently lifted the travel ban to Cuba. Americans
are itching to get to this once forbidden destination, particularly
for the culturally rich society and untampered landscapes. How
often do we get to roam an undeveloped beach without manmade
structures on the horizon? Well, before you start packing your sun
lotion and beach towels, here are five things you ought to know.
Tourist travel to Cuba remains
prohibited.
Yes you can visit the island legally, but
you must have a purpose other than
“vacationing.” Before you book your
trip you will need an approved visa by
the Department of Treasury. There
are only 12 approved reasons to travel
to the country in compliance with the
Department of Treasury. Failure to
comply with such regulations can lead
you to face criminal prosecution.
