Holistic -> Whole-istic
You’ve chosen medicine because you want to connect with people.
At National University, you’ll spend a full year applying classroom
and laboratory knowledge to real-world medical settings.
It all begins at our Whole Health Centers.
Staffed by chiropractic and naturopathic
physicians, acupuncture and oriental
medicine practitioners, and massage
therapists who often work alongside
allopathic providers, these clinics embody
our integrative philosophy. You’ll spend
hundreds of hours examining, diagnosing
and treating actual patients while receiving
supervision from world-class faculty.
You’ll achieve technical mastery and build
essential interpersonal skills.
Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
Acupuncture students can intern in the pain management clinic at Chicago’s Stroger
Hospital. It’s an eye-opening experience that puts you inside one of the country’s largest,
most diverse medical centers.
Chiropractic Medicine
Our training and assessment center builds crucial evaluation and diagnostic skills for
our chiropractic students in a practical learning environment. Students encounter
standardized patients and other simulated challenges in rooms specially designed with
remote cameras and speakers, so interactions can later be reviewed with faculty.
Naturopathic Medicine
From hydrotherapy treatment rooms and a fully stocked herbal dispensary to
diverse clinical opportunities, we provide a rich, multifaceted naturopathic medicine
program. Students gain invaluable insight into the opportunities and challenges
that await them after graduation.
