Sirens often are called the Vampires
of the Sea, as a need for blood is
one mythology of them. Myths say
that lack of consuming blood makes
these creatures increasingly weaker
and often makes them morph into
hideous creatures if malnourished
long enough. This mythology also
states that Sirenism, as it is called, is
actually a disease or curse, similar to
Lycanthropy or Vampirism.
So what is the draw to such a creature? Either way, you have the opportunity to play a lovely creature.
Beautiful, seductive, and living beneath the waves. A form that is both
recognizable and alien. A demeanor
that is both our own and something
entirely new. But most of all, it is a
uniqueness that you can craft into
exactly what you want.
As the ship drifted next to
the rocks and ground to a
halt upon them, the beautiful woman turned and
looked at the Captain. She
extended her hands, beckoning him to come closer.
Captain Jarnos, without
thinking, climbed over
the side and onto the
rocks where the lovely
woman was perched,
still singing her lovely song. He came close
to her extended arms,
and her hands went to
the sides of his stubbled
face. She leaned in and
spoke into his ear, a soft,
melodic voice barely
above a whisper.
