In Scandinavian cities, too. G ­ ardening firm Nelson Garden is welcoming the trend by introducing a new collection of gardening tools and, among other things, pots, aprons and knee pads. The collection was developed in collaboration with one of the leading urban farming experts in Denmark, landscape gardener Dorthe Kvist, who has written several books on the subject. The col- lection, Dorthe Kvist by Nelson Garden, is named after her and can be experienced for the first time at Formland in Herning. - Urban farming is a huge trend – and it just keeps growing, says Dorthe Kvist. - The financial crisis and our digitalized world have increased the need to get back to basics. We need an earthly connection. To cultivate the earth is one of the foundations of our society, and, on a basic level, it simply makes sense to plant a seed and watch it grow, says Dorthe Kvist, who, in addition to designing gardens – especially urban gardens – is also the author of books such as "Byhaven" and "Bliv ven med din have". The new eco-friendly collection consists of well thought out ­ roducts focusing on practicality, flexibility and eco-­ p friendliness.
