SUMMARY Marc Lauge A / S continues its focus on the concept 100 % Organic Cotton , which was first introduced for Spring 2020 . - Both retailers and consumers have received the concept well . All denim and twill styles from the three brands Marc Lauge , MAPP Jeans and DNYcph are marked with a green symbol , which makes it easy to identify the 100 % Organic Cotton fabric , says Thomas Lauge Christensen from Marc Lauge A / S . He and his brother Marc Lauge Christensen have fronted the company ’ s sustainability initiatives . - It is an extensive change we have made with
the implementation of the 100 % Organic Cotton concept . We believe that we will see even more sustainable fashion in the future , say the 2nd generation of the family business . They add that the company has navigated through the corona crisis fairly well . - We develop casual everyday fashion , and it is this kind of clothing that is in demand at a time when sociability of any kind has been toned down . We have tried to think creatively , and we are introducing a new and simple shop-in-shop concept . Here , the retailer can easily - and cost free - give the fashion store a boost . We offer a jeans wall with table and racks for either 10 or 15 square meters , Thomas Lauge Christensen explains about the concept . The idea of the new shop-in-shop concept
is also to make it easy for the retailer to see when to supplement on basic items such as jeans . - We know that about half of basic sales come from supplements . And precisely when to supplement becomes very visible with a jeans wall . We want to get even closer to our customers in the future , and a closer collaboration on supplements and shop-in-shops is one way to do it . In general , I think the fashion industry will see closer collaborations between suppliers and retailers . Suppliers will take more responsibility for their brands to sell to end consumers , says Thomas Lauge Christensen . Marc Lauge A / S has also established a B2B platform from which retailers can easily make supplements online .
