SUMMARY NU has met Creative Director Charlotte Thorhauge Bech and agent Kristian Østerballe to talk about Blomus in the Scandinavian market . In fact , the German brand is not new in Scandinavia - around the turn of the millennium , it was popular in Nordic homes due to the many stringent
products in stainless steel , which were strongly trending at the time . Today , it is a new generation of products and a softer Nordic look that characterizes the Blomus design . In terms of materials , steel has been supplemented by wood , textiles , ceramics , glass and more . - I remember that Willo Blome , CEO of and owner of Blomus , once stated that he felt Blomus lived in “ a stainless steel prison ”. It has been a difficult process to get out of the perception that consumers and retailers had of Blomus . People associated Blomus with the material stainless steel . But now most people have fortunately found out that Blomus has succeeded in changing the design expression , and we have also moved out of the bathroom universe , which today is supplemented with products for the entire home including outdoor spaces , Charlotte Thorhauge Bech begins . Kristian Østerballe adds : - Today , Blomus is a total lifestyle universe . We have become strong in offering what many Danish design companies are so good at , even adding values that are perhaps more German , in the form of a focus on thoroughness , quality , delivery security and more . There is very great potential for Blomus in the Scandinavian market , precisely because we do things a little different
than the many talented Danish brands . The Blomus range of products offers the retailer to show another assortment than other lifestyle houses , says the brand ’ s Danish agent , who is the former sales manager for , among others , ferm LIVING and Lind DNA . In Kristian Østerballe ’ s agency company Øster Agentur , he also sells the brand FLSK - a highend brand within the To Go concept . Blomus also has agents in Sweden , Norway and Finland .
