NU has asked trend expert Anja Bisgaard Gaede from Spott to point out the most important interior trends for this autumn / winter , as she sees it . She describes two main trends , each with its own sources of inspiration and colour universe . - There is a very important trend , which is about comfort . In this direction , the home is styled to embrace us with its organic shapes and softness . The look is minimalistic , and the home exudes harmony . - Quilt is important here , and we see lots of quilted pillows and blankets . With quilt , you can create patterns in an understated and discreet way . At the same time , quilt is a way to add volume , and much of the design language in this trend is about creating a puffy , seamless and soft universe . The cylinder shape is seen in both furniture and interior in this trend . Anja Bisgaard Gaede also points to the colour choices as being crucial in creating a mood of comfort . - The colours and colour combinations are harmonious and calm . We see beautiful colour gradations and softened , geometric patterns . It ’ s all about creating an atmosphere of flow - the eyes find comfort in the flowing , subdued colours , explains Anja Bisgaard Gaede , who adds that the mood sometimes gets an almost religious feel , as if the home is a sacred place where one seeks comfort and peace in a form of refuge in a turbulent world . You experience the home as a meditative universe , where the decor must not make noise . Subdued blue colours , neutral grey and sandy tones emphasize the mood .
