The name of the brightest shining star in heaven - Sirius - is also the name of a wellknown Danish light supplier . - Once we were best known for our Christmas lighting , but today we cover the full range of light decorations for both outdoor spaces and the rooms inside . The light is seen in designs with materials such as glass , wax and metal , and the luminous decorations are used in private homes and gardens as well as in shops , hotels and restaurants and for instance in Tivoli in Copenhagen , says Stig Gerlach , who founded Sirius in 1988 and still is its CEO . - Our first product was the light decoration chain , and today it is available in a range of variations . Not least for the outdoor rooms , the light chain has gained enormously popularity as a mood creator . I got the idea for the Sirius concept back in 1985 on a trip to New York . We still stick to the original design idea - to build cosiness and a warm atmosphere with light . But today the product range is much wider than in the beginning , states Stig Gerlach . Sirius ' sales boomed when the incandescent light bulb died out . - We invested a lot of money and effort in developing LED lights with a glow similar to the glow from the incandescent light bulb . This resulted in the two variants " warm white " and

" ice-white ", both of which with a pleasant soft glow , says the CEO . Among the news for A / W 21 are new highquality solar cell lamps that can absorb enough energy to shine in up to four hours a day . - And we are very proud of the new remote control , which is now integrated with our entire product range .
