60 students and will expand over time to an enrollment of 240. Start-up
costs will be minimized by using existing educational, research and
training facilities, along with faculty at both TCU and UNTHSC.
Donors have pledged significant financial support to address start-up
costs. Pharmaceutical executive Paul Dorman has provided full first-year
tuition to the inaugural class of students with the H. Paul Dorman Charter
Scholarship Program.
TCU and UNTHSC have a longstanding collaboration on science and
healthcare issues affecting the Fort Worth community. Currently, more
than 1,200 students from various areas of study, such as nursing and
biomedical sciences, athletic training and physical therapy, have trained
together on interprofessional education competencies.

Christian University (TCU) and the University of North Texas Health
Science Center (UNTHSC) are teaming up to open a school of
medicine in Fort Worth, and in doing so, are creating one of the nation’s
most comprehensive healthcare schools located on a single campus.
